Celebrating 10 Years of Well Living House

March 22, 2023 - Written by:

In November of 2022, Well Living House officially celebrated 10 years of research and advocation for Indigenous family health to provide tangible benefits and improvements to our First Nations, Inuit and Métis communities!

For the past decade, Well Living House has focused on applied Indigenous health action-research. This has meant co-leading research projects with community partners and translating relevant and useful public health and traditional knowledge to practitioners, program managers, and policy makers. And it has meant helping them use this knowledge to improve care and services for Indigenous infants, children and families.

Together with our Counsel of Grandparents, our team of health researchers, and community partners, we’ve worked in a good way to successfully complete many projects over the years- all of which, we are extremely proud of and grateful for.

We wouldn’t be able to do any of this work without our contributing researchers, generous donors, research participants, partners, and our Elders who guide and ground us in traditional ways of being and knowing.

We commit to furthering our good work in the future and look forward to all the positive changes still to come!
